Honoring the Legacy of Supervisor John Hidahl

The Connector Joint Powers Authority is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Supervisor John Hidahl, a dedicated public servant whose passion and commitment have left an indelible mark on El Dorado County and the Capital SouthEast Connector project.

As a member of the JPA Board of Directors since 2017, Supervisor Hidahl served with unwavering dedication, including two terms as Board Chair. His loss is a profound one, felt across the entire region by those who had the privilege to work alongside him.

John’s contributions to the Connector JPA were instrumental. His leadership and vision were critical as he worked tirelessly to advance the Connector, understanding its importance for transportation, regional development, and the quality of life in El Dorado County.

The El Dorado County Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting to celebrate the life and legacy of El Dorado County Supervisor John Hidahl.
